Lucas Leok - Family Dynasty
At the age of 14, Lucas Leok (EST/KTM MX Futures) became ADAC MX Junior Cup Champion for the second time. After winning the 85cc class last year, he directly added the follow-up title in 2026 in his rookie season in the 125cc.

In addition, there were awards as Red Bull Holeshot winner and Bridgestone Rookie of the Year. The name Leok is already firmly established in motocross in the fourth generation, his father Aigar and uncle Tanel were both factory riders and his cousins Sebastian and Travis also compete successfully in the ADAC MX Youngster Cup. Even though he usually prefers to let his riding speak for itself, Leok gave us some answers about his season and career in the Champions interview.
Congratulations on winning the ADAC MX Junior Cup 125 in the rookie season! How happy are you about this title? Lucas Leok: "I'm really happy. To win the championship in the first year on the 125cc is something very special. All the hard work in the winter and during the season has paid off. It was my goal to be competitive and fight for the best possible results. To win the title in my rookie season is insane. It means a lot to me. It shows that I'm constantly improving and that the work we put in is paying off."
Was the changeover to the 125cc difficult? "Yes, that was a big step. The motorcycle is different, bigger and more powerful. I had to adapt my riding style and learn to ride fluidly while keeping the pace high. The pace in the 125cc class is higher and every mistake can cost you a lot as the competition is even higher in the races. You have to stay focused all the time. There were several fast drivers. The level was high, and you had to give everything at every event."
What was your greatest strength in 2026? "I think my consistency was one of my greatest strengths. I also learned a lot about the bike and tried to improve in every race. The team also plays a big role and is certainly one of my strengths. We worked really well together at KTM MX Futures and the support of my team was important throughout the season. You can't achieve such a success alone."
What makes motocross so fascinating? "I'm fascinated by the speed, the competition and the challenge that each track brings. Every race is different and you always have something to improve."
How important is it to compete with international drivers in the ADAC series? "That's very important for me. You're constantly racing against fast drivers from different countries, and that helps you learn and see where you stand. Winning the championship in Fürstlich Drehna was my biggest highlight. There were many beautiful moments, but it was the title that made the season special. There were also some difficult moments during the season. But that's part of racing. You learn from the bad races and then concentrate on the next one."
What are the plans for 2027? "We are currently working on the plans for next season. I will race in the 125cc class for one more year with the support of KTM before moving to the 250F. The goal is to keep improving, get stronger and ride at the highest possible level."
Is there anything else that should be said at the end of the interview? "Thank you to my family, my team and everyone who has supported me this season. Now it's time to keep working myself and come back even stronger."
