The Crendon Tru7 Honda squad is excited to announce its three-rider team for next season which sees Conrad Mewse alongside Jamie Carpenter in MX1 again and Jake Nicholls in MX2 – the same as this season.

Backed by Honda UK as its official British motocross team for the 16th year in 2026, the squad continues to back home-grown talent and is committed to British motocross. Again led by Dave Thorpe, Britain’s most successful motocross racer and a three-time 500cc world champion with Honda, the team will continue its focus on the revamped ACU British championship in 2026 where all three riders will compete.

Mewse and Carpenter will also contest a second full UK national series, which will be confirmed later this year. News of which other races Mewse, Carpenter and Nicholls will contest will be announced once details are firmed up.
The four-time British champion Mewse, now age 26, is currently leading both the ACU British championship and the NORA Pro series where he is undefeated in both. He also aims to contest some MXGP rounds next season, on his Crendon Tru7 Honda CRF450R.

Carpenter, aged 26, was having his best ever MX1 campaign this year – his first season on the Crendon Tru7 Honda team. But at the recent Preston Docks British championship round he couldn’t avoid being taken down by two riders who crashed in front of him. He had reconstructive surgery on his knee this week so will be out of action for the rest of the season, and plans to return fully fit next season.

Nicholls - a former GP rider and now Tru7 Group’s managing director – only races part time and is enjoying riding the Honda CRF250R so he’ll be back for more of the same next year.

Conrad Mewse: “I feel really at home with the Crendon Tru7 Honda team and am totally thrilled to be staying next season. Everyone from team owner Dave Thorpe to the team manager Ryan Thorpe, the mechanics Rob Boseley, Will Irvine and Luke Humphreys are totally professional and work incredibly hard to make sure we have the best chance of success at all times. The team are a level above the rest and the bike is always simply stunning. I’m proud to be part of the team. I’m hoping for even more success in future with the team and Honda.”

Carpenter said: “I’m so happy to be staying with the Crendon Tru7 Honda team next season – especially as I’m injured right now. It’s the third time I’ve had knee surgery like this so I know exactly what I need to do to recover and start next season as strong and fit as I can. I aim to be back riding by January and then hopefully be even stronger next season. The CRF450R is not a new model so I know I won’t need much time to get it dialled in again. And staying with the team - who are just amazing – gives me lots of confidence. I’m already looking forward to racing in the British championship, the British GP and the Weston Beach Race.”

Jake Nicholls: “Most people know I’m no longer a full-time professional rider as I work full-time. But I love riding and racing, especially on the latest Honda CRF250R which is such a good bike. I’m having lots of fun racing this season so I’m more than happy to carry on next year with the team.”

Team owner Dave Thorpe: “To get all the same riders signed up so early is fantastic news and is a real credit to the team, Honda UK, our technical partners and sponsors. Consistency is a great thing when it comes to building a successful team. Of course, our goal is to win the British MX1 championship and with Conrad and Jamie on the Honda CRF450R, we are in a very strong position. Both riders are very professional, fully dedicated to racing at the highest level and have lots of talent. And it’s also great that Jake wants to continue in MX2 and we are fully behind him. He obviously has a vast amount of experience in the MX2 class and has helped develop the CRF250R into something very special this year. For someone who can’t spend lots of time testing and riding due to his work commitments, it’s just incredible he can still run such a fast pace and challenge for podium results.”
