MXGP - 30 Factory Riders

Never in the sports history have we had so many factory riders and teams involved. Sure, we lost the MXGP GasGas and Husqvarna factory riders for this year, but gained Ducati and some extra riders for many of the factory teams, in both classes. MX continues to grow and there are nearly as many factory riders in the 250 class as the 450 class and that is great for the future.

With 30 factory riders in MXGP and MX2, the 2025 season looks like it will be a successful one and lets just hope injuries don't knock our season too much. Its hard to replace that level of riders if injuries are a part of the season.

Infront are always looking at ways to make the fields deeper and there will more than likely be some rule changes about wild-card riders. No problem for the Aussie GP, as a long list of Australian riders are wanting to race that, but of course, Indonesia and China can be difficult to fill the gates, but do not be surprised to see more Aussie riders in those rounds also, as the local federation there, Motorcycling Australia invest into the MXGP championship, in support of having an Australian Grand Prix.

No doubt the British Grand Prix will also see a bunch of British riders wanting to race, including the all-new Triumph team of Tommy Searle. Conrad Mewse, always looking to do some GP's, will also probably be involved.

Not only the major factories investing in the sport, but also a big shout-out to people like Kimi Raikkonen (Kawasaki), Claudio De Carli (KTM), Kay Hennekens (Husqvarna), Hans Corvers (Yamaha), Louis Vorsters (Fantic), Giacomo Gariboldi (HRC) and so many more who also put their share of support and money into the series and without them, we would be a much poorer sport.

Support for the EMX classes is also always growing as that series continues to bring the best talent in the World. Yes, the sport is in good hands, from the top, to the bottom.
