Reed Into Aussie HoF
Australian-born Chad Reed made a name for himself in the United States, winning two AMA Supercross championships and one AMA Pro Motocross title. Reed also holds records for AMA Supercross Main Event starts (265) and AMA Supercross Podiums (132).
Reed's professional racing pursuits began in 1998, getting his start in the Australian circuit. One year later, Reed crossed the Pacific Ocean and made his AMA Supercross debut at 16 years old.
In 2002, Reed broke out, winning the first six 125cc East SX rounds to spring him to the class crown. Two years later, Reed claimed the 450SX championship, landing on the podium in all 16 rounds of the season while emerging victorious in 10 races. Reed added an additional 450SX championship in 2008 while claiming the 2009 AMA Pro Motocross 450 championship.
Reed also won four Australian Supercross Championships and was the MX1/MX2 moto champion at the 2011 Motocross of Nations. He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia, an honor given to Australians who have demonstrated exceptional achievement.
