Two time AMA supercross champuon and Red Bull KTM factory rider, Eli Tomac put down a time of 46.121 to be well placed, but his night changed when the Colorado native crashed hard in the whoops. 

He hit his shoulder and Tomac was slow to get up and just sat as he was talking to the Alpinestars medical crew as the session was brought to a halt. The supercross veteran was helped to his feet and tried to ride the second session, but pulled out of the night racing.
