Team France rider, Mathis Valin has taken an easy victory in the MX2 qualification race in Ernee, Fance. The Kawasaki rider, coming back from a couple of months out injured sure puts the home team as heavy favourites tomorrow.

MX2 qualification race
Coenen with the lead in the MX2 qualification race, followed by Valin, Larwood, Janis Reisulis, Yokoyama, McLellan, Farres, Seewer, Kitchen and Zanchi. Reisulis passed Larwood for third, and Farres dropped to ninth place. McLellan passed Larwood and Kitchen into sixth place.
Coenen with a three second lead over Valin, and Larwood really getting it tough as Kitchen also goes past the Australia and Seewer and Farres also looking to get the Aussie. Sure enough, Seewer and Farres passed Larwood, who is now eight. Coldenhoff in 13th and the Dutch struggling somewhat.
Coenen some mistakes as Valin all over the back wheel of the Belgian and on lap four it was Coenen, Valin, Reisulis, McLellan, Kitchen, Seewer, Farres, Larwood, Zanchi and Callemo 10th. Farres into sixth place with a pass on Seewer and Valin takes the lead over Coenen as the Belgian crashed out and dropped back to fourth place.
Kitchen for Team USA can see Coenen now and that must be huge motivation as he chases the Belgian, although behind Kitchen is the World MX2 champion, Farres, although eight seconds off the pace. McLellan into second as he passed Reisulis.
Kitchen moved past Coenen as the American moved into fourth spot and really showing great speed on his MXoN debut. Top ten on lap six was Valin, McLellan, Reisulis, Kitchen, Coenen, Farres, Seewer, Larwood, Zanchi and Coldenhoff.
Kitchen catching Reisulis for third place and a pass would be awesome for the event and Team USA. Coenen four seconds off their pace and Farres catching Coenen. A pretty handy MX2 moto with a bunch of fights for positions as Kitchen chases Reisulis and Farres pushing hard to get Coenen.
Farres into fifth and will now go after Kitchen and Reisulis. Kitchen into third and really enjoying his day in France. Three laps remaining as Farres tries to get to Reisulis and Kitchen. Top ten was Valin, McLellan, Kitchen, Reisulis, Farres, Coenen, Seewer, Zanchi, Larwood and Coldenhoff.
Farres on the back wheel of Reisulis and two seconds off the pace of Kitchen, but you get the feeling the Spaniard will be going for third spot. Farres into fourth spot and now three seconds off Kitchen. Valin wins it from McLellan and Kitchen.
