De Wolf Wins Moto One
Kay De Wolf has won the opening MX2 moto after starting in second place and passing a out of control Coenen. Second was Camden McLellan and third Andrea Adamo. A tough race for Sasha Coenen, who led early, but again had multiple crashes and was also penalized a point for jumping on a yellow flag. Series leader, Simon Langenfelder finished in seventh place, after also crashing.
Kay De Wolf: I enjoyed that moto, took a good start and, I am really looking forward to the second moto. I always have to come from the back, but this time I was quickly into second.
Championship points are now Simon Längenfelder 686 points, Andrea Adamo 642pts, Kay de Wolf 641pts, Sacha Coenen 537pts, Thibault Benistant 498pts.
MX2 Moto One
Coenen with the lead in the opening MX2 moto, leading from de Wolf, Adamo, Langenfelder, McLellan, Owens, Braceras, Smulders, Elzinga, Valk. De Wolf into the lead as Coenen again runs off the track. Coenen down again and dropped to eight as Owens dropped 15th.
De Wolf held a 6.5 second lead on lap four, with McLellan now in second, three seconds ahead of Adamo, with Langenfelder up to fourth, then came Valk, Coenen, Elzinga, Valin, Lata and Walvoort.
Coenen a penalty for not respecting waved yellow flags. On lap six it was de Wolf with a seven second lead over McLellan and Adamo a further two seconds back, then came Langenfelder, Coenen, Valk, Valin, Elzinga, Walvoort, Benistant. Benistant a crash and stuck on the face of a jump.
Coenen moved into fourth with some solid passes, but was 14 seconds behind Adamo, who was in third. The lead by de Wolf grew to eight seconds and Lata moved from ninth to 15th as a freight train of riders passed him.
Langenfelder went down and dropped to seventh as Valin and Valk dropped back, then eight as Elzinga also went past. Lap 13 and it was de Wolf with an 8.7 second lead, then Mclellan, Adamo, Coenen, Valin, Valk, Langenfelder, Walvoort, Skovbjerg and Karssemakers. Elzinga out of the race with seemingly a mechanical issue. De Wolf wins it and gains a lot of points over Langenfelder.
