World MX2 champion Kay De Wolf of the Nestaan Husqvarna factory team has won the Saturday qualifier for the MX2 class, after starting inside the top five and making his way to the front mid-race, then just cruising in the final laps. Second was Andrea Adamo and third Camden McLellan.

Kay De Wolf: I was struggling a little bit, so they can expect more from me. I was waiting for Sasha's mistake and it happened and I took it easy and had an easy qualifier.

MX2 Qualifier

Coenen led the MX2 qualifier, from Adamo, Braceras, Benistant, de Wolf, McLellan, Langenfelder, Doensen, Elzinga, Valin, and Walvoort. De Wolf and Benistant passed Braceras. Langenfelder into sixth place and de Wolf up to third position.

On lap three the lead by Coenen was 7.7 seconds, with Adamo a couple of seconds ahead of de Wolf in third place. Adamo and de Wolf in a great battle, but the Dutchman eventually pass the Italian. Top ten on lap four was Coenen, Adamo, de Wolf, Benistant, McLellan, Langenfelder, Elzinga, Braceras, Valin and Farres.

A crash by Coenen, but he continued to lead, but the gap was just 1.3 seconds and the World champion was coming closer. Coenen off the track and de Wolf nipped up the inside and then Adamo went to pass the off-track Belgian, but Coenen raced back onto the track, just ahead of the Italian.

Langenfelder up to fourth place on lap seven and the top ten was De Wolf, Coenen, Adamo, Langenfelder, McLellan, Benistant, Valin, Reisulis, Braceras and Walvoort. Coenen another crash and he dropped to sixth place. De Wolf wins it, take the 10 points and makes a little ground in Langenfelder in the championship chase.
