Langenfelder - Flag to Flag
German racer, Simon Langenfelder of the Red Bull KTM factory team has put together a very consistent and dominant performance with a flag-to-flag victory. Fortunately for the man with the red plate saw his two major rivals, Andrea Adamo and Kay De Wolf finish in fifth and sixth. Finishing second was another Red Bull KTM rider, Sasha Coenen and third place to Kawasaki factory rider, Mathis Valin.
Simon Langenfelder: So happy with the holeshot and good riding. I was surprised and could play around and I can see easy the track at the front. This is a track you can make big mistakes.
World championship points are now Simon Längenfelder 643 points, Andrea Adamo 593pts, Kay de Wolf 588pts, Sacha Coenen 507pts, Thibault Benistant 478pts.
MX2 Moto One
Langenfelder with the holeshot in the opening MX2 moto as he led from Farres, Coenen, Valin, Benistant, Valk, Lata, de Wolf, Adamo, Braceras in 10th. De Wolf and Lata passed Valk, but Adamo from ninth to seventh quickly. Langenfelder quickly a 2.4 second lead.
Langenfelder really showing his speed early and with de Wolf and Adamo in 7th and 8th, the points gap for Langenfelder growing by the minute. Lap two the lead by the German was 2.8 seconds with Coenen a little over a second ahead of third placed man, Valin.
Lap two and the lead grew to five seconds, with Coenen 1.4 ahead of Valin, and the other losing ground quickly. Adamo 12 seconds off the leader and de Wolf just behind the former MX2 champion. The track drying out as the sun came out. De Wolf a crash and he dropped to 11th.
Lap five and Langenfelder held a 9.2 second lead over Coenen, and behind the Belgian teenager came Valin, Farres, Benistant, Adamo, Lata, de Wolf and Braceras. Soon after Reisulis passed Braceras for 10th place.
Coenen getting a hurry up from Valin and the Frenchman looking very fast. Farres in fourth was 15 seconds off the lead and fifth placed rider, Benistant was 16.5 off Langenfelder. Lap seven and Langenfelder was 11.9 ahead of Coenen and 13.4 ahead of Valin.
A huge race for Langenfelder with the lead 15 seconds on lap nine and Adamo in sixth and de Wolf 8th really struggling to keep with the German in the points race. Langenfelder lapping riders but having difficulty getting around them.
Adamo a crash and back in seventh and just ahead of De Wolf as these two will make life difficult for each other in seventh and eighth. Top ten on lap 11 was Langenfelder, Coenen, Valin, Farres, Lata, Benistant, Adamo, de Wolf, Valk and Reisulis.
Benistant collided with Lata and Adamo took his chance and passed the Frenchman, while de Wolf was also sizing up the Yamaha rider. Adamo all over Lata and the lead by Langenfelder on lap 15 was 20 seconds over Coenen and 22 seconds over Valin. Adamo passed Lata for fifth place. Langenfelder wins it from Coenen and Valin.
